Daniel Ingamells | Founder and CEO

Daniel Ingamells

Daniel is a founder, builder, and strategist with deep technical experience spanning UI and UX design, full-stack web development, and mobile app creation. He has guided SweatX from its earliest concept through to MVP, leading product development, design, tokenomics, compliance, team recruitment, and daily operations. Daniel combines a strong technical background with business acumen, building partnerships with leading gyms and businesses, managing investor relations, and producing all of the brand’s key marketing assets.

Before launching SweatX, Daniel played a key role in several respected Web3 and blockchain projects, including Shardeum, Shardus, and Liberdus. His work included technical writing, research, protocol design, and supporting both product and business development. This broad experience provides him with a comprehensive understanding of both the technology and market dynamics in the blockchain space.

Daniel leads the overall vision, product development, and strategy for SweatX. He is responsible for driving innovation, building the team, and ensuring the platform’s successful growth and impact. Daniel also leads the front-end build of the SweatX app and oversees all technical implementation to deliver a seamless user experience.

Interesting Fact
Daniel enjoys playing guitar and is, for better or worse, a lifelong Manchester United supporter. He was also once ranked number two in the world on the Age of Empires 3 doubles roster, though he’s still waiting for Doug to admit who carried who.


Thant | Co-founder and CTO

Thant

Thant is a seasoned blockchain developer with deep expertise in building Layer 1 protocols and solving some of the most challenging problems in decentralized technology. As Core Blockchain Developer at both Shardus and Liberdus, he has played a leading role in advancing distributed ledger technology and decentralized payment and messaging networks, pioneering solutions that address the blockchain trilemma of scalability, security, and decentralization.

Thant’s experience includes several years working on next-generation blockchain infrastructure, contributing to the protocol and core development of Shardus. Thant also served as a full-time committer at Shardeum, an EVM-compatible, sharded smart contract platform known for its approach to infinite scalability and robust decentralization.

His technical skills encompass blockchain architecture, backend systems, API development, TypeScript, Node.js, DAO frameworks, Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), smart contract development, and occasional Web3 security research. Thant is passionate about making blockchain more efficient, accessible, and impactful for real-world users, and he is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in decentralized systems.

Area of Focus at SweatX
Thant is responsible for backend and blockchain architecture, designing and building the entire backend stack for SweatX, including the API, blockchain infrastructure and server operations. He ensures that all core systems are secure, scalable, and robust, laying the technical foundation for future product features and integrations. Thant also leads the implementation of smart contracts and works closely with the team to enable seamless communication between the app, blockchain, and all backend services.

Interesting Fact
Thant began his career as a subsea pipeline engineer before transitioning into software engineering. Beyond technology, he enjoys exploring diverse topics including health, biology, and philosophy. He actively participates in sports, playing football every Saturday, which reflects his commitment to a balanced and healthy lifestyle.


Doug

Doug is an experienced solicitor specializing in intellectual property and commercial law, with a proven track record at global powerhouse Powell Gilbert LLP and the UK Government Legal Department. At Powell Gilbert, Doug served as a Patent Litigation Associate, managing high-profile, multi-jurisdictional patent disputes for clients across the technology, telecommunications, and consumer products sectors. He has represented clients in the UK courts, including the Supreme Court, as well as before the Unified Patent Court, UKIPO, EPO, and USPTO, working with prominent industry names such as General Electric, LG, Philip Morris, and Tesla.

Doug’s expertise spans all areas of IP law, including patents, copyrights, and trademarks, as well as complex commercial disputes and global litigation strategy. Before joining Powell Gilbert, he served as a solicitor at the UK Government Legal Department, where he handled judicial reviews, commercial litigation, and advisory matters involving government policy and legislation.

Area of Focus at SweatX
Doug is responsible for formulating and implementing the entire intellectual property strategy at SweatX. He oversees trademark registrations, patent filings, copyright protection, and IP risk management to ensure that SweatX’s technology and brand are comprehensively protected as the platform expands into new markets.

Interesting Fact
Doug is a devoted Arsenal supporter, an occasional footballer, and was also ranked number two in the world in Age of Empires 3 doubles. Rumor has it that he carried Daniel so hard that his back still hurts.


Omar | Technical Advisor

Omar

Omar is a highly accomplished architect and developer specializing in building scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems for mission-critical applications. With over two decades of experience across blockchain, gaming, and big tech, Omar has been instrumental in the design and implementation of next-generation distributed ledgers and consensus algorithms. He is currently focused on solving some of humanity’s most challenging problems, working on scalable blockchain technology at Shardus and as a co-founder at Liberdus.

Omar’s impressive career includes co-founding and leading technical strategy at Shardeum and Liberdus, as well as principal architect roles at Zynga and Yahoo, where he built robust infrastructure for millions of users. His work at NASA Glenn Research Center saw him pioneering web technologies and custom software for research analysis. Omar is known for his long-term vision: leveraging technology, blockchain, and eventually AI to build systems that can help create a more prosperous and equitable world.

Omar provides guidance on system architecture, scalability, and distributed ledger technology, ensuring the SweatX platform is robust, secure, and ready to handle growth. He also advises on infrastructure choices and helps design the technical roadmap for future expansion.

Interesting Fact
His long-term vision is a world where every human being receives an unconditional basic income, thereby eliminating poverty and hunger. His fascination with AI and chess inspired him to create the strategy game Arimaa and launch the Arimaa Challenge, which you can read more about here.
